Wood's creative journey started at art school followed by work as a community artist, and playing saxophone with The Apollinaires on the 2-tone record label. His career has embraced painting, printmaking, music, publishing, design, and higher education. A painting finalist in the 8th Artelaguna Art Prize in Venice, 2014, he then relocated to Hong Kong to take up a Professorship, returning to his studio in Kent, UK, in 2023. He has exhibited widely internationally, most recently in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Paris, Singapore, Miami, and New York and in the UK his work has been featured in the Wells Contemporary Exhibition, Somerset, the New Light Summer Exhibition, Yorkshire and Silent Disco, in Suffolk. His work is included in many collections including The Mercer's Company and HSBC bank, London, King Charles III at Highgrove, The National Coal Mining Museum for England, the National Trust Foundation For Art and Yitian Plaza Mall, Shenzhen.
