Madi Boyd and Nye Parry have been collaborating for over 10 years, producing large scale multi-sensory installations and video works. Boyd studied sculpture at The Slade School of Art (2001-5), with tutor Dame Phyllida Barlow. Her work uses light and space as sculptural matter, often working collaboratively with neuro-scientists and psychologists. Parry’s work encompasses sound installation, multimedia, concert works and scores for contemporary dance. He has made sound installations for major museums including the National Maritime Museum, the Science Museum and the British Museum. He is Professor of Electronic Music and Composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Trinity Laban Conservatoire. Their work has been exhibited at, among others, The Science Museum, London, The Science Gallery Dublin and Venice, Art Laboratory Berlin, Puke Ariki Museum New Zealand, Guangdong Science Center China, Kunstkraftwerk Leipzig, most recently in Hong Kong for the Microwave New Media Arts Festival.
