Veronica works in printmaking and weaving using foraged materials. She has a studio at Stiwdio Maelor in Corris, an artist in residence program that she established in 2014. Veronica completed a PhD at Aberystwyth University in 2021. Her research project, ‘This is a Language Warning’, visualised an endangered language (GanaiKurnai) through a minority language (Cymraeg) as realised through the notion of country. Veronica’s printmaking explores languages and landscapes in which she inhabits and through her weaving she creates objects that respond to the plants and their habitats. In 2024/25, she completed a residency with Tir Canol, Machynlleth. The residency provided an opportunity to work not only in her print studio but to also to view the whole of the Dyfi valley as her studio and her source of inspiration. This residency developed the creation of objects that responded to the language, plants, the flow of the river, and its habitats.
